Anti Money Laundering Functions

Anti Money Laundering(AML) controls the illegal flight of capital from one country to another using banking channels. Globally money laundering is causing countries millions of dollars that move illegally using the financial channels. The purpose of AML is to take steps to make sure that there are no money laundering activities in organizations. Money channels like banks and other financial services take all the measures to detect and report any attempt to move illegal money through their channels. Entities use multiple commercial channels to transfer money, so it becomes difficult to trace the origin of money, and ultimately the payment is untraceable to any one party. With AML protocols, there are continuous checks, and monitoring activities both in organizations and financial institutions to curb down such illegal activities. The AML standard is international rules that most developing and developed nations comply with.
