Many baby bath towels are on sale in the stores, lovely to look at and to touch. However, the customer should be aware of a number of details before making a purchase. First, bath towels, robes and ponchos are available in a range of sizes, from new-born through to six years. Be aware that babies grow rapidly and it makes sense to buy a towel or robe larger than you need, say, one year ahead, in which to wrap that little anatomy. Eventually, the baby will grow into it.
Next, quality is all-important. Check the towel’s label to ensure that the product is made of 100% cotton and not colored with harmful dyes. Try to choose a towel with embroidered embellishments rather than the stitched-on motifs that a clever baby can pull off. Soft, woven edges are a good idea; they will not fray nor harden with repeated washing. Finally, follow all washing instructions to the letter and that baby bath towel will stay as fresh as the day you bought it.
